NECROPOLIS: HALLOWEEN IN LONDON
A CHOCOLATE FILMS PROJECT

Twelve filmmakers from Chocolate Films ventured into the streets of London on 31 October. What they captured was the experience of Halloween in London. In this wild bizarre night they documented what Londoners really get up to. Watch the films and experience what it’s like to go a Japanese language Halloween Party, or charge through the streets, trick-or-treating with a crowd of eight year-olds. We went deep into a dark cemetary and joined a queue to see the master of horror, John Carpenter. Everywhere we went we met fascinating people and heard surprising stories.

HOW THE NECROPOLIS FILMS WERE MADE 🍫📽

The films in the Necropolis season were created by the London production company Chocolate Films and made possible by the company’s team-focused crewing policy. Chocolate Films is a social enterprise video production company. It employs a large full-time crew rather than freelancers and owns all of its own kit. This means that after a great deal of research on where to visit, on Halloween night, the team could just split into small crews and head out into the city. A fun and revelatory night!
