Riyan loves football.

Riyan has a passion for playing football. He loves the sense of community and energy when watching Algerian football matches, particularly when they won the cup in 2019. In the future he hopes to play for the Algerian team or a first or second division team in London.

This film was created by a group of young filmmakers aged 13 – 19 during a project that took place over summer 2019 at Platform Youth Hub, Islington. Facilitated by professional filmmakers from Chocolate Films, participants were able to develop key camera & production skills whilst exploring the stories of their chosen Londoner.

This film is part of 1000 Londoners, a ten-year digital project which aims to create a digital portrait of a city through 1000 of the people who identify themselves with it. The profile contains a 3 minute film that gives an insight into the life of the Londoner, as well as their personal photos of London and some answers to crucial questions about their views on London life. Over the course of the project we aim to reveal as many facets of the capital as possible, seeing city life from 1000 points of view.
