Londoner #384 | Kumar explains the happiness, respect, and freedom that he has found within the city

Kumar works in a local London shop

Kumar and his family came to London from Afghanistan 10 years ago. Now settled in Marylebone working in a local shop, Kumar talks about his experience being part of the London community, alongside the happiness, respect, and freedom that he has found within the city.

Kumar is part of the 1000 Londoners ‘St Marylebone: Changing Lives’ season. This film is part of 1000 Londoners, a ten-year digital project which aims to create a digital portrait of a city through 1000 of the people who identify themselves with it. Over the course of the project we aim to reveal as many facets of the capital as possible, seeing city life from 1000 points of view.
