What Will London Be Like In 10 Years?

Following on from the success of the Our Wandsworth popup media studio back in May,  Chocolate Films set up the 1000 Londoners studio again, this time at the Geffrye Museum’s family day, Spectacular Spaces, which took place on Sunday 28th July.

We wanted to find out what the future holds for London? Is it going to be a concrete jungle or full of chocolate mountains? Above or below sea-level? Will everyone be baring ridiculous moustaches and riding on Segways, or will they be suffering from seemingly eternal financial problems? Will it change vastly at all?

These were some of the ideas that we heard when Ally & Nick from Chocolate Films and the Geffrye’s Youth Advisory Panel asked visitors to the event – there are even more interesting ideas in the short film above.

This was the latest community engagement event that we have run in the lead-up to the 1000 Londoners project launch. From September, Chocolate Films will be working with the Youth Advisory Panel at the Geffrye Museum to develop profiles of some of the people that we met on the day for the 1000 Londoners website when it launches next year.

So who knows, we could hear more about overthrowing the royal family or flying
cars – we’ll have to see!

Keep up to date with other exciting community engagement projects we have going on as we run up to the launch to the 1000 Londoners website. Follow us on twitter @1000_Londoners as well as the Geffrye’s Youth Advisory Panel, @GeffryeYouth.

Check out the short film to hear the full responses from the day…..
