Flowers for Valentines
Its A Wrap:
I found a really great character in Dennis, what a guy! He is definitely a good salesman, I feel like going down to the market to buy fresh flowers everyday after that! The most surprising thing about the shoot was, I am a hayfever sufferer and I didn’t sneeze once. I also met a fascinating photographer called Clive that has been taking images of the Covent Garden Market ever since it moved to Nine Elms. I am really intrigued to see the old photos and find out more.
The Day Before the Shoot:
Of course it’s commercial and too pressured but I can’t help but be a romantic at heart, so 1000 Londoners loves Valentine’s Day! And what better way for me to spend an early morning but to go along and buy some flowers from Dennis. As the oldest seller at Covent Garden’s Flower Market, Dennis considers himself a bit of an institution. He is on the market floor from 4am. It hurts my eyes even thinking about it. But we plan to be there tomorrow and you can check out the results of the morning’s escapade this Saturday for a 1000 Londoners Valentine Special. We are even doing a Valentine’s competition on Friday 13th, where you can win something special for your beau/spouse/ partner/ or yourself!
